महाराष्ट्र दिन;  महाराष्ट्र हे भारतातील दुसऱ्या क्रमांकाचे जास्त लोकसंख्येचे राज्य आहे. भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्थेत सर्वात जास्त जीडीपीचा १४% वाटा असलेले हे राज्य आहे. त्याचे वैभव कसे मिळाले हे समजून घेण्यासाठी आपण त्याच्या इतिहासात डोकावूया.  १९४७ मध्ये भारताला स्वातंत्र्य मिळाल्यानंतर मुंबई राज्याची पुनर्रचना करण्यात आली आणि त्यात मराठी भाषिक मराठवाडय़ासारख्या इतर विविध जागीर आणि राज्यांचा समावेश करण्यात आला. मात्र १९५४ मध्ये मराठी भाषिकांनी द्विभाषिक मुंबई राज्याविरोधात प्रचंड आंदोलने केली. मराठी भाषिक महाराष्ट्रासाठी लढण्यासाठी संयुक्त महाराष्ट्र चळवळ उभी राहिली. अखेर प्रचंड निदर्शने आणि १०५ जणांच्या मृत्यूंनंतर मुंबई राज्याची महाराष्ट्र आणि गुजरातमध्ये विभागणी झाली. आज महाराष्ट्र हे भारतातील सर्वात मोठे औद्योगिक राज्य आहे. हे भारतातील सर्वात मोठे स्टॉक एक्स्चेंज आणि आशियातील सर्वात जुने स्टॉक एक्स्चेंज, मुंबई स्टॉक एक्स्चेंज चे घर आहे. शेतीतही ते अग्रेसर आहेत. अशा वैभवशाली राज्याचा रहिवासी असल्याचा आपल्याला अभिमान वाटायला हवा, असे सांगून मी माझे भाषण संपवू इच्छितो. धन्यवाद।जय हिंद जय महा
